ISO Certification
Supreme Corq, LLC has achieved its ISO 9001:2000 certification. ISO 9001:2000 is a set of quality management and operational systems standards that are recognized and accepted around the world. The ISO 9001:2000 certification process reviews a company’s quality management, continual improvement, and monitoring of customer satisfaction processes to ensure compliance against a globally recognized standard. Currently more than 90 countries have adopted ISO as a national standard.
ISO certification provides customers with increased assurances that a company has an ongoing commitment to quality management, continual improvement, and customer satisfaction. Going forward, companies that achieve ISO certification must have regular, ongoing assessment audits to ensure that the company continually uses, monitors, and improves processes.
British Retail Consortium (BRC) Certification
Supreme Corq, LLC has achieved British Retail Consortium (BRC) Certification. BRC is a comprehensive set of standards covering areas of quality, hygiene and product safety throughout the production process. Certification to the stringent BRC standard ensures that companies put appropriate systems and controls in place to make certain their product is safe for food contact.
Supreme Corq has received a “Hazard B” category rating which is one of the most comprehensive and rigorous ratings awarded by BRC. This prestigious rating is reserved for companies that provide packaging materials for products that are in direct contact with food.
AIB international food packaging standard
Supreme Corq, LLC has achieved a superior rating in AIB International Certification. The AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards were developed to evaluate food packaging manufacturing and handling operations, product safety, and compliance against a group of globally recognized food safety and manufacturing production/warehousing standards.
The AIB standards represent a consolidation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and federal and military standards for the food packaging industry.
Organic Use Certification
SupremeCorq closures have been certified for use with organic products per the Organic Use Certification. Supreme Corq closures can be used to seal products that are certified organic according to the requirements outlined by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) guidelines. In order to obtain this certification, Supreme Corq prepared a specific quality plan outlining compliance with organic use requirements relating to materials, production processes and inspection procedures. Supreme Corq is required to conduct an annual recertification audit in order to maintain this certification.
